Program Support

The Lakefield Oval Community Centre is a not for profit organization that was created to develop a publicly owned and operated recreation facility in Lakefield. The Oval’s Board of Directors continue to move toward the goal of completing the Oval Project.

The Oval owns the 13.5 acre site where the 400 metre oval is situated along with the equipment required to build natural ice on the track each winter. Adjacent to the track is a building to store the ice making equipment and a warming hut. Public skating is free and recreational skates are available to rent for a small charge.

The Oval is able to offer this unique opportunity each winter and continue to work towards the goal of a completed community recreational facility onsite through donations from sponsors, various companies, and individuals.

Skating is made possible through the hard work of dedicated volunteers. Additional volunteers are welcomed to help with public events.

If you are willing to volunteer in any capacity or you would like to make a donation, please contact Graham Wilkins at or call 705-652-7041.
