Program Support

The Lakefield Oval Community Centre is a not-for-profit organization created to develop a publicly owned and operated recreation facility in Lakefield. The Oval’s Board of Directors continues to move toward the goal of completing the Oval Project.

The Oval owns the 13.5-acre site where the 400-metre track is situated and the ice-making equipment. Adjacent to the track is a building to store the ice-making equipment and a warming hut. Public skating is free and recreational skates are available to rent for a small charge.

Generous combined donations from sponsors, various companies, and individuals serve to make the Oval track available each winter and support the Oval Committee’s vision of realizing an onsite community recreational facility.

Skating is made possible through the hard work of dedicated volunteers. Additional volunteers are welcomed to help with public events.

If you are willing to volunteer in any capacity or you would like to donate, please contact Graham Wilkins at or call 705-652-7041.
